(Automated Packaging) Analysis of Intelligent Retrofit Solutions for Full Product Lines
In the comprehensive intelligent upgrade project implemented for a major pharmaceutical company, our company has developed a fully automated, three-dimensional packaging and traceability system. This solution uses a high-precision vision system to accurately encode each individual product. Subsequently, a vertical-to-horizontal orientation device automatically adjusts the product’s position. Once the quantity reaches the preset threshold, a spider robot precisely picks up and packs entire layers of products.
The system achieves synchronized, automated operations that integrate partition placement, unpacking, and box sealing into a single process. It also automatically affixes a unique box code at the corners of each carton, establishing a complete “box-carton” association. This solution consolidates the traditional packaging process—which typically involves multiple manual steps—into a fully automated production line. While meeting pharmaceutical traceability requirements, it significantly boosts overall packaging efficiency, reduces labor costs, and provides a benchmark smart, end-to-end packaging solution for the pharmaceutical industry.
